Our affiliations from small beginnings until today. United Grace Mission (UGM) truly is a "Mission" - a movement with definite aim and ambitions, first of these being to send evangelists into the villages where Christ is not known and there is no Christian witness. As souls respond they are baptised and a church is formed in that village. At present we have reached the point where there are hundreds of workers in the field with 492 villages in there care.
UGM is a "Grace Mission" depending solely on the grace of God and his saving power exercised for the lost wherever they may be found. Christians connected with UGM often suffer much for their profession of faith and may be mocked or have their whole livelihood affected.
UGM is also a "Rescue Mission", In this regard I speak especially of the orphanage children under our care. By now we had 63 children in our Hyderbad home, we considered it a duty and privilege to care for such children and try to give them a future and a hope. For these children, rising time is about 6am, followed by washing, dressing and preparing for another day at school. After breakfast, the scriptures are read, choruses are sung and there is prayer. All 63 of them march off to school through the busy streets for a days lessons, an amazing sight for all to see. A lunch box arrives at midday for each child and after play classes continue until 3pm. Back home, an hour's play is followed by an evening meal and study time of two and half hours. Prayer, singing and reading of the scriptures conclude the day. To see these children well cared for is the natural aim but spiritually we pray to see them eternally saved and brought to serve our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
UGM is also a "Successful Mission", Over the last number of years we have been able to place 123 workers on the field that with help have planted over 300 churches. Following the years 1998-9, three new churches were planted in the Pasivedala area, also in the area of the large city of Visakhapatnam further new churches have been established. From the Uppada area of the G.N.F. 2001 where there are new converts and calls for Jona to come to baptise them. The years 2003-4 have shown the same fruitfulness. We can only say that "a great door and effectual is opened unto us", never ceasing to yield fruit.
While back in 2001, there was only one evangelist working in the field, two years later we had 100 labouring for God, in difficult forest and tribal areas and seeing much fruit, although so many villages still had no witness for the Lord. These where areas with wild animals and often no phones, electricity, or medical care. These evangelists also had the responsible role of pastors, establishing churches and nurturing new believers. These 100 workers had by now planted over 86 new churches, some of these with 10-20 believers, others up to 100. Larger and more durable types of church buildings were now needed in a number of places for growing congregations.
